Tree Planting Goes Ahead

Trees planted outside shops on Alnwick Drive

Following an extensive consultation process 92 street, verge and green space trees have been planted in Stanney Wolverham to enhance this residential area.

The trees were planted by Blakedown Landscapes in association with Ombler Iwanowski Architects who coordinated the contract.Ben Greenaway overall project coordinator for The Mersey Forest said 'Following the recent building of several new houses, and the improvements to public realm such as the new play area on Thornton Rd this is a welcome improvement'.

The trees a selection of ornamental and broad leaves such as Lime, Oak, Cherry, Ornamental Pear,and Rowan will bring both spring flowers,berries and autumn foliage marking a change in seasons across the year.
