Enthusiastic Response to Consultation

Residents in Stanney Wolverham responded positively to consultation to street and green space tree planting proposals for their area with demand outstripping supply.The Mersey Forest is now looking at its funding to see what can be done to extend the planting to meet demand in the area.

Ben Greenaway Coordinator of the project for The Mersey Forest said 'it would be a shame if all residents who wanted a tree didn't get one and although many of the streets have some trees there certainly are some areas that would benefit from enhancement from greenery especially as further investment in the area's housing stock is intended in the future'.
