Planting area revealed


This map shows the potential scope of tree planting opportunities around the Stanney Grange Wolverham area and identified by The Mersey Forest as priorities.The current funding would allow the planting of around 65 trees.Over 130 locations have been identified with 90% of respondents to door to door consultation expressing a desire to see a tree near their property.
Priority location will focus on linkages to green space for local residents.

Community Event at Wolverham Community Centre

The Mersey Forest has been successful in obtaining funding to plant 65 trees in Ellesmere Port this winter and wants to target the Stanney Grange Wolverham neighbourhood south of the town centre.With funding from Cheshire West and Chester Council's Our Place initiative and The Forestry Commission Setting The Scene For Growth programme residents of this neighbourhood are invited to a drop in consultation event this Thursday November 3rd at Wolverham Community Centre.Target streets will be consulted on planting during the coming month.

Green Streets Comes to Ellesmere Port


In 2009 The Mersey Forest planted over 60 extra heavy standard (thats 4m high trees growing to around 10-15 m) in residential and business streets around Ellesmere Port!
